For the last few years we have been striving to read, understand and implement the New Testament of the Bible each day throughout the year. For each day of the year there is a corresponding Bible Scripture.

The method we use is called the SOAPY System and is described below.

S - Scripture - Write the scripture in the journal.

O - Observation - Write the lesson - the one or two verses where God spoke to me. What is God trying to teach me?

A - Application - Write how this applies to my life.

P - Prayer - Write a prayer to God about it.

Y - Yield - How will my life be different? What in my life must I yield, to let God teach me?
