At First UMC we believe all Christians are called to grow in their faith by continuing to learn. This includes reading and studying the Bible - both at home and in small groups - as well as keeping an open mind and continuing to learn about various other things in life.
To help facilitate the study of God, the Bible, and who we are in relation to God, we have several small-group study opportunities. On Sunday mornings we have several different Sunday School classes, targeted at different age ranges and life stages. On Monday evenings, during the school year, we offer our Disciple Bible Study program. This is our most powerful Bible study at the church and many who have taken it say it changed their lives. On Wednesday evenings we offer a community dinner for $4/person, followed by optional, short-term studies on various topics. Finally, our most recent addition to learning opportunities comes in form of a small group (called a foundation group) meeting in the home of one of our members. If you are interested in starting up one of these foundation groups in your home, contact Pastor Chris at 918-366-4463 for more information on how we can help you get started.
