Children

King's Dominion

King's Dominion is our program for children in grades Kindergarten -- 6th grade.  This program follows the "rotational Sunday School" model.  In this model, the children hear about the same Bible story for 5 Sunday's in a row.  The same Bible story is taught through different media rooms.  In each classroom they read the Bible story being taught and experience it in a different way.  This allows children to have a deeper understanding of the Bible story and the concepts being taught.

These rooms include:

The Pasture Room -- The Pasture is a drama room, with stage, and "hillside seating", where children experience the Bible story through theater.

The Anchor Room -- In the Anchor, children learn the Bible story through games and exercises, which aid memory and application.

The Harvest Room -- This is an arts, crafts, and food room which allows for creating or tasting something from the Biblical story.

The Morning Star Room -- The Morning Star has computer stations that help kids learn the high-tech way!

The Vineyard Room -- A news studio called TVN (True VIne Network) is designed for children to "anchor the news". They "broadcast" the Biblical story and then watch themselves on TV!

The Great Commission Room -- A wall-sized map of the world helps children discover the meaning of sharing the love of Jesus in mission.

The New Song Room -- Children learn the Bible story through music in this room. They also have an opportunity to become a part of the music.
