Finding a church where you can belong and serve can be a bit intimidating. . . the building is unfamiliar, worship styles may be different, and certainly there are lots of faces you don't know. Our hospitality teams work hard to help first time visitors find their way.
Hospitality alone doesn't make a church. Once you are inside Bixby First United Methodist Church, you will find worship that is biblically sound and relevant to the real needs of everyday life. Contemporary and traditional worship services are offered each Sunday. Christian Education opportunities are available to people of all ages. Education explains God's Word and helps with the application of God's Word to everyday life.
We Love Kids is a banner you will see around Bixby. It's true! From the weekday Preschool and the Mentoring and Tutoring program through the Sunday and Wednesday family activities and into Youth Ministry, you will find people with a passion for kids.
During the fall and winter, UPWARD flag football, basketball, and cheerleading bring hundreds of people into the building every week. UPWARD is a great program for your kids and is led by coaches and officials who want every child to succeed.
Throughout the week, you will find Bible studies, fellowship, and mission opportunities - all experiences that encourage your faith. Prayer is essential and is at the heart of this congregation.
First United Methodist Bixby is a grace-filled church where people of all ages can experience the joy of Jesus christ.
