Values
1. Pursuit of God
We are a people who eagerly pursue a vital and personal relationship with our God. Our greatest desire is to know Him and steadfastly grow to be more like Him.
2. Kingdom of God
We proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom of God. For us, that means that God through Jesus Christ has come to rule and reign over us, freeing us from evil and bringing His goodness into our lives.
3. Discernment of God’s Will
We are always trying to discern what God is doing and surrender our desires, purposes, and plans to follow His leading.
4. Discipleship
We want to make disciples by proclaiming the Gospel and growing together in Christ-like maturity.
5. The Holy Spirit and His Work
The Holy Spirit lives in every believer and is the One who empowers us to be Christ-like. We acknowledge our total dependence upon the Holy Spirit to lead us, guide us, comfort us, correct us, and convict us. We yield ourselves to Him that He might work through us.
6. Character
We want to be like Jesus in our character and our service. It is important to us to speak the truth, deal honestly, and live with integrity.
7. Body of Christ
Everyone has been given gifts by God to do His work of ministry. We are many members, yet one body. We have many gifts, yet one Spirit. We are united in Christ, demonstrating His love to the world.
8. Relationships
We are an open community where everyone can find relationship. We offer love, acceptance, and forgiveness to all.
9. Healing
Jesus Christ wants to work through us to heal and bring people to wholeness. Jesus has made healing available for our sins and our sicknesses.
10. Clear presentation of the Gospel
We seek to present the Gospel to our culture in clear terms without compromise. We avoid religious clichés. We want to stand alongside people in their pursuit of God and communicate with them using understandable and contemporary language and symbols.
11. Equipping
Through teaching and “hands on” training, we equip people to do the work of the ministry. We seek to identify real needs and respond to them in specific, practical ways.
12. God’s Resources
We believe that all we have is God’s. He has entrusted us with time, talent, and treasure. We worship Him by using His resources to bless others.
